Good for

  • Showing off
  • Flexible partners
  • Strong partners

How to do it

  1. Spread a thick mat on the floor and agree on a stop signal.

  2. Base partner: kneel tall on the mat, with a wall or sofa behind you for backup.

  3. Lifted partner: stand facing the base, fold forward, and wrap your arms around their thighs.

  4. Base partner: grip the lifted partner's thighs and lift as they swing their legs up.

  5. Lifted partner: slowly open the legs into a V once you feel steady, and close them again before coming down.

Tips

  • Skip this one with neck, back, hip, or blood pressure trouble, and warm up the hamstrings first.
  • Keep a spotter close, and lower slowly and smoothly, because a sudden drop can injure both of you.
  • Open the legs only as far as is comfortable.
