Good for

  • Height differences
  • Out of bed
  • Taking control
  • Quickies

How to do it

  1. The giver lies on their back on a bed or sofa with hips right at the edge and both knees drawn up.

  2. The receiver stands in front of the edge facing the giver, one foot forward with a soft knee and the other foot back in a lunge.

  3. Rest both hands on the giver's knees or thighs for balance.

  4. Bend and straighten the front knee to adjust height and angle, then move the hips in steady rocks.

  5. Swap which foot is forward whenever the legs tire.

Tips

  • The surface needs to sit close to the receiver's hip height, so use a cushion to boost the giver if needed.
  • Check the surface will not slide, and use a mat or bare feet on a slick floor.
  • The giver can hold the receiver's hips for support if the lunge gets wobbly.
