Good for

  • Strong partners
  • Flexible partners

How to do it

  1. Spread a thick mat or folded duvet on the floor and agree on a stop signal.

  2. Receiver: plant your head and forearms on the mat and walk your feet in until the hips stack above your shoulders.

  3. Giver: kneel in front of the receiver, one hand on their hips to steady them.

  4. Receiver: lift the legs slowly toward the ceiling, with the giver supporting.

  5. Come down slowly and deliberately when either of you says stop.

Tips

  • Skip this one with neck, back, shoulder, or blood pressure trouble, and never try it without experience of inversions.
  • Have a spotter close, and never let the receiver drop.
  • Keep each hold short, because blood rushing to the head builds fast.
