How to do it

  1. Lie on your back on a rug or mat in front of a chair.

  2. Lift your legs and rest your calves on the seat, knees bent at a right angle.

  3. Let one arm rest past your head and reach the other hand down.

  4. Breathe slowly and let your back sink into the floor.

Tips

  • This is a rest position for sore backs, which makes it very easy to stay in.
  • Use a sofa or bed edge if no chair is the right height.
  • A blanket under you is worth the trouble.
