Good for

  • Winding down
  • Slow and sensual
  • Long sessions

How to do it

  1. Lie face up with your hips close to a wall and a pillow under your head.

  2. Swing your legs up so your heels rest against the wall and your knees stay soft.

  3. Take a few slow breaths until your legs feel heavy and fully supported.

  4. Slide one hand between your legs and keep the movements small and unhurried.

  5. Let your feet slide apart down the wall, or bend your knees, to change the sensation.

Tips

  • Move your hips a little farther from the wall if the backs of your legs feel tight.
  • A folded towel under your hips adds a gentle lift.
  • Roll to one side and rest a moment before standing, since your head may spin.
