How to do it
Clear the floor, lay down a thick mat, and agree on a stop signal first.
Base partner: kneel and sit back on your heels, with your back straight.
Lifted partner: stand facing the base, fold forward, and wrap your arms around their hips.
Base partner: grip the lifted partner's thighs or lower back as they curl their knees in and tip upside down.
Lower the lifted partner slowly to the mat when either of you says stop.
Tips
- Skip this one with neck, back, shoulder, or blood pressure trouble, and never try it without a spotter.
- Never drop the lifted partner suddenly, and keep each hold to under a minute.
- Lifted partner: keep your arms locked around the base and your core tight.
