How to do it
Pick something stable at roughly the giver's hip height, such as a sturdy counter, dresser or table, and test it with your weight before you commit.
The receiver scoots to the edge until their hips are right at it, arms around the giver's neck.
The giver steps in close between the receiver's knees, and the receiver hooks the legs around the giver's hips or lets them rest open.
The receiver leans in and holds on tight while the giver sets a steady rhythm with the hips.
Tips
- Fold a towel or cushion under the receiver; hard edges get old fast.
- Make sure the surface cannot slide, tip or wobble, and move lamps and glassware out of kicking range.
- If the angle is off, change the height with a thick book or cushion rather than twisting your back.
